The barrel features wide rings inlaid with red milling. These provide excellent traction for a secure grip without being sharp. In the flat area that follows is an optional reference point. In the centre of the barrel, precision-cut black rings converge and delineate the front and rear grip zones to ensure consistent finger placement. At the rear of the barrel are wide rings cut over smooth tungsten to provide another reference point.

A sharp red V-notch adorns the barrel in homage to Michael's hometown of St Helens.
